Lots have happened since I last posted and I wasn't finished with this post but I wanted to get it up in case this was my last post before the rapture tomorrow...see you on the other side. I hope I end up in the right place. If not, I am ratting all of you out so you can come join me.
*In case you didn't know it the 2nd Coming of Christ is on 5/21 - according to wakado - Harold Camping, the leader of an independent Christian ministry called Family Radio Worldwide, which is based in Oakland, Calif. Camping's date is based on his interpretation of the Bible. He must have missed a couple of other verse about not knowing the day or the hour, so be ready. Anyway, for those that believe 5/21 is the end, please watch this video and be courteous of those left behind.
*Summerville has a new mayor for the first since the streets were dirt and were filled with horse and buggys. To Mayor Myers- job well done, thank you for your service. We can only hope to have leaders like you in the future. Congratulations to Mayor-Elect Collins. I was hoping Danny's campaign would take off but it fizzled out pretty quickly on a technicality - evidently not living in the town you want to be mayor is a pretty big deal.
*Space Shuttle Endeavour finally launched after almost a month delay that caused me to not attend. LA and I were planning a trip to see the launch since it was originally planned during her Spring Break. If you haven't heard a lady on a flight from New York to West Palm Beach, FL took some pictures that have gone viral on the internet.
*Osama Bin Laden is dead after a ten year search - Job well done, Navy Seals Team Six. Really, what did you think was going to happen to him when we found him? I am pretty sure taking him to Guantanamo wasn't an option. As my friend Greg said "The guy that threw the shoe at Bush should be nervous." And about the pictures - post them or not doesn't matter to me. I would like to see the video that Obama was watching live - technology is a wonderful thing.
*LA Lakers, Andrew Bynum is a hockey goon in a basketball uniform. His foul in garbage time as the Mavericks handed the Lakers their arse (up 30 at the point of the foul) was bush league and he should be suspended for all of next year. I personally don't care, if he ever played again. Hard fouls are one thing - and trust me I have given my share of those but that wasn't a hard foul. AND to make matters worse he opened his mouth after the game and said this “For me, it was embarrassing having the smallest guy on the court keep running down the lane and then making shots,” Bynum said. “So I just fouled (no, you didn't it, you took a cheap shot at him while he was in the air him like a chump. Instead, how about playing some defense. Oh, and by the way he made the shot...jerk) him.” -(commentary mine)
A quick search of You Tube shows that this isn't his first foul of this tpye...go to You Tube and search for bynum foul beasley. The Lakers and NBA need to tell him his services are no longer needed and he can apply to the NHL or MMA or join the real working world. That would never happen because that's the logical/real world response and reason 390,876 that I do not watch the NBA. (Just to clarify, if it wouldn't have been on SportsCenter, I would have never known about it.)
*While in the world of sports - Did you see this save of a soccer goal?
Never give up...hustle
*And one last sports video, ironically from the NBA, that I saw on ESPN Plays Of The Day - a postering of D Wade and a monster jam on a rebound during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. WOW!
*Hopefully you saw the video from the guy was high on crack, got tasered twice (didn't even slow him down), stole the police car and then wrecked totaled the car when he hit a landscaping truck/ trailer that turned into his path while he was trying to pass on Maple Street. Carter Electronics has a cameo appearance in the video if you pay attention - trust me it is quick. Remember kids - Crack is Whack!
And his quote from the hospital - "Did I make the news?" Even better you made my blog.
This is a commentary on my life as it revolves around my hot wife, my 2 daughters, my son, extended family, friends, church & the lessons that we are learning & the fun we are having (or at least think, we are having).
