Social Security Administration

If you read the other blog about the frustration with the process of getting a Social Security Card for Aubrey since somehow we missed allowing the hospital do it for us or they elected to not do it for us. For the new readers - it took until March 2009 to just get a number and we didn't get an actual card until a few months back. I was sure one thing was not happening before we left the hospital - we were not leaving until I had confirmation that they were going to file for his SSC. I wasn't going back to the local office five times to deal with the bureaucracy. We checked the box and less than two weeks after his birth we had his SSC. I am glad the process worked this time because I probably would have been in the hospital or behind the steel gray bars, if I would have had to endure that process again.
